About us

About Us

Rural Development Friends Trust (RDFT) is a registered non-profit organization working with a single goal — to uplift rural lives with dignity, opportunity, and hope. Founded in 2025 and inspired by the values of Mother Teresa, RDFT was established to serve the most neglected and underprivileged communities in India’s villages.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between urban privilege and rural struggle — through education for children, healthcare for the sick, skill training for the unemployed, and relief for those in need. We focus on grassroots development, ensuring that every program we run directly benefits the people it is meant for.

Whether it’s providing school supplies, conducting medical camps, distributing food and clothing, or helping women learn a new skill — we believe that small efforts can lead to big transformations when done with sincerity and heart.

With the support of generous donors, committed volunteers, and compassionate partners, RDFT has become a growing movement for rural change  reaching more families, more villages, and more lives every day.

Together, we’re not just giving help — we’re giving hope.

About the Founder & Chairperson

Mr. Shaik Mansoor is the visionary Founder and Managing Trustee of Rural Development Friends Trust (RDFT). A committed social activist from Talupula, Sri Sathya Sai District, Andhra Pradesh, he has dedicated his life to the upliftment of rural communities through service, education, and empowerment.

With a strong belief in grassroots development and inspired by humanitarian values, Mr. Mansoor established RDFT on 19th June 2025 with a clear mission — to support the underprivileged, bridge the rural-urban divide, and create a more inclusive society. As Chairperson, he actively leads community initiatives, mobilizes support, and ensures that every activity of the trust stays aligned with its core values of compassion, equality, and transparency.

His leadership has been instrumental in driving projects related to rural education, free medical camps, food distribution, skill training, and women empowerment. Deeply respected in his community, Mr. Mansoor continues to serve as a guiding force for RDFT, believing that “true change begins with selfless service.”

Our Mission

At Rural Development Friends Trust (RDFT), our mission is to uplift the most vulnerable and underserved sections of rural society through purposeful and compassionate action. We strive to provide access to quality education, basic healthcare, skill development, and humanitarian aid to individuals and families who need it the most — regardless of caste, religion, gender, or background. We believe that true development happens when no one is left behind. Our initiatives are rooted in equality, empathy, and empowerment, ensuring that even the remotest villages have the opportunity to rise. Whether it’s helping a child attend school, offering life-saving medical support, or training youth and women for employment — we act with heart, honesty, and hope.

Our Mission

We envision a self-reliant, healthy, and educated rural India, where every individual — no matter where they are born — has the opportunity to live with dignity, purpose, and hope. Our long-term vision is to build rural communities that are empowered to sustain themselves, where education is a right, not a luxury; where basic healthcare is within reach; where women and youth are skilled, confident, and contributing to society; and where compassion and community thrive. Through our collective efforts, we aim to transform villages into vibrant, resilient, and empowered ecosystems, paving the way for a more just and inclusive society.

What we do

Rural Development Friends Trust (RDFT) operates as a community-based, non-profit organization devoted to the comprehensive socio-economic upliftment of rural populations. The trust undertakes multidimensional development programs aimed at fostering sustainable growth, equity, and inclusion within underserved communities.RDFT’s approach is grounded in participatory development models, where local engagement, self-reliance, and capacity-building form the foundation of all interventions. By addressing core areas such as education, health, livelihood, environment, and gender empowerment, the trust aims to create holistic transformation in rural ecosystems.

Education for Underprivileged Children

Millions of children in rural India lack access to basic education. Your donation helps us provide school supplies, tuition support, and learning environments where children can grow, dream, and thrive — giving them a chance at a brighter future.

Free Medical Camps and Health Awareness

In areas where healthcare is a luxury, we bring it to their doorstep. Your contribution supports regular medical check-ups, distribution of medicines, and awareness programs on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention — saving lives in places that need it most.

Skill Development for Youth and Women

Empowerment begins with opportunity. We offer training in tailoring, farming, digital literacy, and small-scale entrepreneurship to rural youth and women, helping them build confidence, earn a livelihood, and break the cycle of poverty.

Sustainable Rural Empowerment Initiatives

From building water tanks to supporting self-help groups, we invest in solutions that create self-sufficient communities. Your support helps us promote agriculture, clean energy, and local infrastructure that ensures long-term rural progress.
